Shipping Container
Shotblasting Services
Approx 210m2 inside & out.
BACKGROUND
Shipping cargo containers are transported throughout the world in adverse weather, subjected to harsh environments and in most cases fork-lifted or craned into position.
THE PROBLEM
The affect of adverse weather, salt and transportation of the containers often results in the breakdown of the protective layer of paint originally applied during the manufacturing process.
THE SOLUTION & BENEFITS
We at Patterson Protective Coatings specified a three coat system after the original coating was shotblasted back to the steel.
Penguard Express ZP is suitable for steel exposed to corrosive environments up to very high. With a further two coats of Jotun Hardtop AS to finish the coating, the container has a highly resistant coating giving protection for years to come.
