Jotun Penguard Express is a fast-drying, high-build, high-solids epoxy coating designed specifically for new construction. You can use it as a primer, mid-coat, finish coat, or as a single-coat system in atmospheric conditions. With its very fast dry-to-recoat and dry-to-handle properties, Penguard Express significantly increases efficiency during application. It performs reliably across a broad temperature range, from -5°C to 40°C, and supports application at sub-zero surface temperatures.

This coating adheres well to properly prepared carbon steel, aluminum, concrete, and galvanized steel substrates. Approved for NORSOK system 1, Penguard Express also meets the demands of environments up to C5 in corrosivity.

Contractors and applicators use Penguard Express as an anti-corrosive primer or intermediate coat to protect steel and other substrates exposed to atmospheric conditions. Its rapid drying capabilities boost throughput and streamline the painting process. Additionally, Jotun offers a variant that complies with LEED 2009 (VOC content GS-11), BREEAM, and BREEAM-NOR (VOC content as per EU Directive 2004/42/CE).

With Penguard Express, you can apply a full three-coat system in a single day. At 10°C, this process takes just 10 hours; in hotter climates where the steel substrate reaches 40°C, you can complete the system in under 3 hours.
