"*" indicates required fields
Jotun Muki EPS is a two-component chemically curing epoxy shop/holding primer.
Jotun Muki EPS is a two-component, chemically curing epoxy coating designed for use as a shop primer. It supports high welding and cutting speeds, which helps reduce weld porosity and back burning. Its fast-drying properties allow for stacking shortly after application, increasing efficiency in fabrication environments.
You can use Muki EPS as a temporary primer during the new construction phase, as a holding primer, or as part of a complete coating system in both atmospheric and immersed environments. It adheres well to properly prepared carbon steel substrates and performs best when applied in lower film thicknesses using an automated shop priming line. When used as a holding primer, you can apply it with airless spray equipment.
Muki EPS works seamlessly with advanced welding technologies, including MIG, MAG, and G-FCAW, especially when applied in low film thicknesses.
This coating suits structural steel and piping exposed to corrosive environments—ranging from moderate to very high and immersed conditions. It’s ideal for offshore environments, refineries, power plants, bridges, buildings, mining equipment, and general structural steel applications.
