Jotun Tankguard Holding Primer is a two-component, polyamine-cured phenolic/novolac epoxy coating. Designed as a holding primer or primer in a complete tank coating system. As a result, it offers excellent chemical resistance, making it suitable for use in both atmospheric and immersed environments. Moreover, the product works effectively on properly prepared carbon steel, galvanised steel, stainless steel, and concrete substrates.

Tank coatings, such as Tankguard Holding Primer and other products within the range, must serve a dual purpose: on one hand, they protect the carried cargo from contamination, and on the other, they prevent the tank substrate from corrosion. Therefore, the coating must resist the diverse and constantly changing nature of the cargoes being transported.
